Mary and Bruce BauerBauer Family Goldens LLC is about the true ‘Mark of Gold’, that being the honor and respect dearly noted to the breed Golden Retrievers. Golden Retrievers are a breed of dedication, continuity, kindness, trust, energy and above all devoted love. They have built their legacy one heart beat at a time, paw to hand, experience to experience, life to life in perfect unity.
We chose the breed Golden Retrievers because of our respect, knowledge and appreciation for the breed characteristics. Our hearts and minds were in sync as we knew our lives embraced many demands. The special part of this story is that Bruce and I shared our Golden mission prior to us sharing a life together.
Bruce Bauer is the most dedicated Golden lover in this world. He carries an outstanding respect and pride for all Golden Retrievers. He began his Golden journey in the arena of hunting. Maxi, his first Golden taught Bruce so very much about dedication, consistency, patience, spirit and love. She worked hard to please him, as he worked even harder to earn her heart. They created a continuity which was ever lasting and forever honored. Their golden journey had only just begun. Bruce continued building his hunting skills until he had truly mastered his techniques. He engages in research, studies and practice to assure the value of his hunting arena.
Service arenas relate quite closely to numerous skills performed by hunters. The list of skills and techniques which link or transfer from hunting to servicing may include, but are not limited to: general obedience, focus fetch, protective alert... The skills used in hunting may be tweaked or advanced to enhance or structure techniques which will enlighten a Recipient’s life. Bruce works very hard to develop a plan of service unique to each Service Dog Recipient.
Pet Goldens are Bruce's favorite loves. His heart beats just for them. He is nicknamed the ‘dog whisperer’ because of his devotion to their every need and want. Paw to hand, heart to heart, human to Golden life is the best when shared between two spirits who mutually respect and love each other.
My heart is filled with Gold. I was coping with a serious hardship when the heart of Gold walked into my life. I met Bruce, my husband and his beautiful Golden, Maxi while walking in our home town. They caught my attention as they communicated with one another like best friends out for a great time. I was captivated with her obedience skills and honorable behavior. Man's best friend was soon to become my way to my man's heart. I just knew we were going to make a forever fabulous family.
Learning about this incredible breed was the beginning to a lifelong dedication. It is more than a career, it is a life mission. My heart had been searching for the perfect love and thanks to Bruce and Maxi, I found not one love, but two, both being perfect.
Life has carried many difficult challenges. I am legally blind. Many may ask how can I breed, nurture, train and care for my Goldens being that I am blind. My Goldens receive the best of the best care. They are my children and my heart beats. Their care is my utmost concern in life. My days are filled with my Golden responsibilities and considerations. I focus on providing the healthiest nutrition to encourage the promotion of long term health and happiness. Socialization is my favorite part of raising my Goldens. I make sure everyone enjoys a belly rub, ear scratch, back massage and a big hug many times throughout each day. We enjoy visiting numerous care facilities so that our Goldens can share their love with residents. Hospitals welcome us to raise the spirits of their patients. Shopping is much more fun when taking my Service Dog, no more tripping, not one crash and I can find my way. I only wish my Servicer could read and drive, but all else is amazing. My Goldens - pet, hunt and Servicers - have improved my life in so many ways. I am so appreciative of their skills, companionship and love. I couldn't imagine life without my Goldens.
Uniting both our golden and human family has been an incredible blessing. Our kids think of our goldens as their playmates, confidonts, friends and family all rolled into one happy life. Sharing tears of joy and sorrow has been a treasure. Life is worth working hard to share, care and continue a legacy built on respect, trust, kindness and love. Our golden family shall share life like it is heaven on earth.
